Mile builder

Our mile builders are the perfect opportunity to build up sailing experience and collect nautical miles for your next license. In general, we sail 300-400 nautical miles during one mile builder.

  • Long-distance passages (300-400nm nonstop)
  • Passage planning
  • Weather routing and observations
  • Watch system day and night
  • Rules of the road
  • Provisioning and cooking on board
  • Personal responsibilities (psychology, medicine, hygiene)

Mile builder PLUS

In the mile builder PLUS you will profit from long-distance sailing and inport maneuver training. The course is split into two parts: mile builder (300-400nm) + at least one full day of maneuver training.

Weekend maneuver course

This course is a compact and efficient training for inport maneuvers. The maximum number of participants is five, so every crew member has enough time to practice and profit from our knowledge.
Course content:

  • Line handling, lassoing
  • Engine checks
  • Assessing the elements and the prop walk
  • Docking and casting off alongside with a spring
  • How to use a bow thruster; pros and cons of it
  • Stern landing with mooring lines or bow anchor
  • Turning in confined spaces, reversing with a turn
  • How to position the boat for docking in a box
  • Man over board maneuver under engine
  • Anchoring and mooring

Skipper training

Learn how to lead a yacht and its crew in the most important situations and maneuvers. In our skipper training you will learn from our most experienced instructors.
Course content:

  • Preparation and planning of a sailing trip
  • Passage planning
  • Weather routing
  • Inport maneuvers
  • Safety on board / emergency situations
  • Man over board maneuver
  • Medicine and psychology on board
  • Engine knowhow
  • Anchor methods
  • Storm preparation
Duration:
‍Generally, the skipper training is a one-week (6 days guaranteed) course.

Skipper training PLUS

Our motto is more than miles! The skipper training PLUS is a full skipper training with a long-distance passage of at least 24 hours nonstop.
